Recco Battaglia Mission, Reputation, and Rewards Guide

Start with Recco’s three story missions. They unlock mining-module and ore-pod blueprints, then open more contracts for building reputation. If you want a ship, the first milestone is the Golem contract at 10,800 reputation. The Prospector and MOLE take considerably more work.

Reaching a ship’s reputation threshold unlocks its reward contract. To earn the ship, you need to accept and complete that contract yourself; helping with another player’s mission won’t award you a ship.

Quick route and where to stop

Our recommendation is to finish the story before committing to a ship grind. That gives you useful blueprint unlocks and a chance to see whether Recco’s jobs are working well enough for your sessions.

Your goalWork towardWhen to stop
Story and industrial blueprintsFinish Idea for Isaac, the third story missionOnce the module and ore-pod blueprints are unlocked
First Alliance shipPrestige 1 at 10,800 reputation, then Extra Special JobAfter the Golem reward is delivered
Prospector AlliancePrestige 2 at 30,000, then Scan with a Prospector PayoutAfter receiving the Prospector Alliance
MOLE AlliancePrestige 3 at 69,600, then Mining and MOLEAfter receiving the MOLE Alliance

Those are cumulative reputation totals. From the Golem threshold, the Prospector needs another 19,200 reputation; from the Prospector threshold, the MOLE needs another 39,600. Reward-contract completions can contribute toward those gaps.

Don’t plan the grind around scan-only contracts. They were disabled for 4.10. You can still encounter scanning objectives in other Battaglia missions, including the ship-reward contracts.

Where to find Recco Battaglia in Levski

Recco works in Levski on Delamar, in Nyx. Look for "Welcome to the System" in Contract Manager, accept it, and follow its marker to her office. The contract specifically asks you to meet her in person.

Her office is an instanced space, so wait for the entrance barrier to open while it loads. CIG explains how this works in the 4.10 release notes.

Story-mission progression

You start at Prospective Associate with 0 reputation.

Story missionRequirementBlueprint reward
Welcome to the SystemStarting story offer in NyxClearcut Module
Emergency: Blinding Hope in TroubleComplete Welcome to the System and reach Associate: 2,400 reputationDeluge Module and Overrun Module
Idea for IsaacComplete Emergency: Blinding Hope in Trouble and reach Trusted Associate: 6,000 reputationGOLEM MC-4 Ore Pod and MISC Enhanced Ore Pod

Each chapter can be completed once and awards 800 reputation.

"Welcome to the System" provides a Prospector Alliance for the mission and includes boarding a Caterpillar. Prepare for industrial work and FPS combat. The supplied Prospector is separate from the ship you earn at Prestige 2.

"Emergency: Blinding Hope in Trouble" sends you to investigate a distress call and confirm the crew’s status. Its completion opens investigation and data-retrieval jobs, including "Moraine Data Retrieval".

"Idea for Isaac" sends you back into Moraine territory. Bring a ship you can fight in: expect a Gladius, Mantis, and Arrow encounter, along with a data-drive objective. Finishing it opens "Moraine Movements", salvage jobs, and blackbox-retrieval contracts.

Use repeatable jobs between chapters to reach the next threshold. Once both requirements are met, check for the next story offer before spending another session grinding reputation.

Blueprint and item rewards

For Strata Levski Edition armor and backpack blueprints, run "Moraine Data Retrieval" or "Crew Hasn’t Checked In" after chapter two. Each completion awards one blueprint from a pool containing the five Strata pieces and industrial equipment, so you may need several runs to get the piece you want.

After chapter three, "Moraine Movements" and salvage jobs can award Hazard-Zone Bulldog, Badger, or Panther blueprints. These share a reward pool with mining lasers and scraper modules; a particular repeater isn’t guaranteed. "Blackbox Retrieval Very Dangerous" awards the CQ7 Rifle blueprint separately, plus one blueprint from the industrial equipment and repeater pool. If the CQ7 is your goal, target that contract once chapter three is complete.

The story missions award the specific blueprints shown above. If you only want those mining modules or ore pods, there’s no need to reach Prestige 3. Blueprint rewards unlock crafting recipes; you still need to craft the equipment.

Prestige reward contracts

At 10,800 reputation, "Extra Special Job" awards the Drake Golem Alliance for scanning Savrillium and Lindinium. At 30,000, "Scan with a Prospector Payout" adds Bexalite and awards the MISC Prospector Alliance. At 69,600, "Mining and MOLE" also requires resource extraction and awards the ARGO MOLE Alliance.

Before setting out, check your accepted contract for the required quantities and whether each objective needs scanning, extraction, or both.

Each contract awards its mission owner one ship and 800 reputation. You can earn each ship reward once.

Recco Battaglia reputation: Which jobs should you use?

Start with "Ship In Distress" if you’re comfortable boarding ships. After chapter two, try "Moraine Data Retrieval" if you prefer a facility objective. Once chapter three is complete, "Moraine Movements" and salvage jobs give you more choices.

Choose a job that suits your equipment and that you can finish consistently. Travel, turn-in time, and stalled objectives all affect how quickly you gain reputation.

ContractStory prerequisiteReputation gainWhy choose it?
Ship In DistressChapter one+300An early boarding job that doesn’t depend on asteroid scan credit
Moraine Data RetrievalChapter two+200Copy server data from a Moraine facility; prepare for possible opposition
Moraine MovementsChapter three+300Install a listening device at a facility
Salvage Job: Small / Mid / LargeChapter three+200 / +400 / +600Options for players already equipped to salvage and deliver materials

For salvage, choose the job your equipment can complete comfortably. Small requires 1 SCU of RMC; Mid requires 2 SCU of RMC and 1 SCU of Construction Materials; Large requires 4 SCU of RMC and 3 SCU of Construction Materials. The larger reward comes with more collection and delivery work.

What the rewarded ships actually are

The first ship reward, the Golem Alliance, comes with a Pitman mining laser, Palisade shield, Breton power plant, and Ultra-Flow cooler. If you specifically want a Prospector for solo mining, the Prospector Alliance has a Helix I mining laser and three Palisade shields.

The MOLE Alliance is the multicrew option, with one Helix II and two Hofstede-S2 mining lasers across three manned mining turrets. Choose your stopping point around the ship you’ll use. If you plan to keep using one of these ships, the Best Quantum Drives in Star Citizen 4.10 Guide covers current drive choices and where to get them.

The “Recco Battaglia free ships” are in-game mission rewards, not pledge-store entitlements, and they are not confirmed to survive a wipe. You still pay the equipment, travel, and time costs of completing the contracts.

Current LIVE problems

If an active objective says an asteroid is already scanned without granting credit, stop repeatedly scanning that same rock. The Battaglia asteroid already scanned Workaround covers the exact failure.

A fresh required asteroid may grant credit if you wait for its yellow mission marker before scanning, but this is not confirmed. Changing shards is also unverified and can cost active mission progress. Neither option restores the ordinary scanning contracts disabled in 4.10.

If the next story mission is missing, confirm that you completed the previous chapter and reached the required reputation. Once both requirements are satisfied, earning more reputation is not a confirmed fix. Players have also reported the offer failing to appear or the interaction stalling.

If ship retrieval interrupts the route, use the separate ASOP Retrieve button greyed out Workaround. Relogging can restore Retrieve, but consider any active mission progress before leaving the session.
