Mission cargo is missing from the pickup elevator

Problem
Mission cargo was missing from the pickup location's freight manager and freight elevator after accepting some cargo-hauling contracts in Alpha 4.9, leaving nothing to load.
Early Alpha 4.10 LIVE reports show hauling cargo appearing and contracts completing again. This page is now marked fixed in the current LIVE build, although the patch has only had a short public observation period.

There is no current workaround to follow for this resolved incident. If the exact empty-pickup problem returns in Alpha 4.10, avoid relying on old Alpha 4.9 advice until a current result is confirmed.
Boundaries and evidence
This is only the empty pickup problem. Cargo that appears in the wrong quantity, is visible but stuck, disappears from ordinary inventory, or is rejected at delivery is a different issue.
Alpha 4.10 LIVE had been available for only about two days when this page was checked, so the current reports do not prove the bug can never return.
No complete public 4.10 Issue Council contribution history was available to confirm an exact official resolution state.
This incident was not independently reproduced or tested in Alpha 4.10.
