Mission cargo is missing from the pickup elevator
Tracked since 19 Aug 2026 · Last researched 19 Aug 2026
Problem
Mission cargo is missing from the pickup elevator after you accept a cargo-haul contract, leaving nothing to load. The reports are current for Alpha 4.9.x LIVE, but the exact hotfix and affected locations are unresolved.
Use this only when the mission cargo itself is absent at pickup. A physically stuck elevator, or cargo that is present but will not complete delivery, is a different problem.

Best current action
Synchronize the PC clock before relaunching Star Citizen
Synchronize the PC clock after closing the game and RSI Launcher, then retry the affected contract; current outcomes are mixed, so do not keep repeating it if the pickup remains empty.
Correct the local clock before launch, then retry the affected pickup. It is the only current reported success retained here, but the result is mixed rather than dependable.
What to do
- Exit Star Citizen and the RSI Launcher.
- Synchronize the PC clock in the operating system's date-and-time settings.
- Relaunch Star Citizen and retry the affected cargo contract.
The same procedure did not restore cargo in every current report.
Other options
Prefer station-to-station or within-system routes
If you choose a new contract, these routes are a low-risk fallback to try. They do not repair an already empty pickup.
What to try
- Choose a station-to-station or within-system cargo route.
- Treat the route choice as a fallback, not a repair for an already empty pickup.
No isolated success confirmation exists.
Use commodity hauling instead of mission cargo
Commodity hauling can avoid the affected mission-cargo path, but it changes the activity instead of restoring the active contract.
What to try
- Use owned commodity cargo instead of accepting the affected mission cargo contract.
No evidence establishes it as a repair for the active contract.
What not to try
Do not rely on abandon, reaccept, and relog as a guaranteed repair
Do not keep abandoning and reaccepting contracts expecting the pickup to repair; the reported attempt still left the cargo absent.
