Problem
After retrieving or returning to an Ironclad in Alpha 4.9.x LIVE, the body or its cargo state may be missing or unreachable.
That matches the after-quantum or shard-transition body-loss state. It is different from a generic ASOP retrieval that sends a ship to an unknown or distant location, a missing component, or cargo lost in a confirmed crash.

Other options
Try to return to the original shard before claiming
If the Ironclad may still exist in the original shard, this is a cautious recovery attempt before changing its state—not a confirmed fix.
What to try
- Do not claim the Ironclad immediately.
- Try a known-friend or same-shard re-entry if available.
- Check whether the body returns before changing its state.
What not to try
Do not rely on Alt-F4 to recover the Ironclad
Alt-F4 can return you to another shard or station and leave the Ironclad body or cargo inaccessible. The only direct success demonstration predates Alpha 4.9 LIVE.
