Golem mining modules are missing or cannot be attached

Problem
If your Drake Golem cannot see Pitman mining modules in the Vehicle Manager, or rejects them during fitting, the normal loadout path is blocked in Alpha 4.9.x LIVE.
This is the Golem/Pitman module-fitting state, not a general Vehicle Manager outage, missing inventory item, or mining problem on another ship. The exact hotfix and affected head or module variants are still unresolved.

Prepare a spare Pitman head before swapping it onto the Golem
Prepare a spare Pitman head with the modules on a freight elevator, then swap that prepared head onto the Golem; test cautiously because head and module compatibility remains unresolved.
Use this to bypass the normal Golem fitting path, but only if you can spare the head and modules needed for a careful test.
What to do
- Use a spare or newly crafted Pitman head rather than the head already fitted to the Golem.
- Attach the mining modules to the loose head while it is accessible on the freight elevator.
- Send the prepared head down and select it through the Vehicle Manager.
- Test with equipment you can afford to recover before committing valuable modules.
A current crafted-head attempt did not get the expected effect, so head and module compatibility remain unresolved.
Other options
Use another mining ship temporarily
If you already have another usable miner, it can save a session that would otherwise be spent retrying the Golem. It does not repair the Golem.
What to try
- Use another usable mining ship for the session instead of repeatedly attempting the Golem fitting path.
- Treat this as a temporary way to continue mining, not as a Golem repair.
Another ship is required and no direct alternative-ship execution is documented.
What not to try
Skip repeated normal Golem module-fitting attempts
Modules can be absent from the Vehicle Manager or rejected by the Pitman head through the ordinary route, so repeated attempts there are not worth relying on.
