Problem
Mendo Ren's carried Vendetta HMG can fall through the floor or disappear as he is defeated in Siege of Orison. Players also report the weapon vanishing while they try to pick it up.
When it happens, no Vendetta remains on the floor to interact with. This is the carried weapon disappearing, not Mendo failing to spawn or a visible loose item refusing interaction.

Search the final green loot crates
Once Mendo's carried Vendetta disappears, search the green crates in the final loot area for another one. Players have found Vendettas there, but repeated empty-crate results mean this is a chance, not a guaranteed replacement.
There is no reliable way to recover Mendo's carried gun after it disappears. Several players found another Vendetta in the final crates, while others completed repeated runs without one.
What to do
- After defeating Mendo Ren, search the green crates in the final loot area for a Vendetta HMG.
This applies after you defeat Mendo Ren and reach the final loot area. The crate may be empty or contain a different Vendetta variant. Another full Siege attempt can still end without the weapon.

Check earlier Siege crates on another run
Players have also found Vendettas in Nine Tails and reward crates before the Mendo fight. This cannot restore the gun you already lost, and the crate contents and weapon variant remain random.

Use this only as a future-run fallback; it does not recover Mendo's disappearing drop.
What's not worth trying
Do not count on catching the dropped gun
Catching the Vendetta with a tractor beam during Mendo's defeat animation and equipping it immediately is player advice, not a reliable fix. Current players report the gun disappearing during pickup and even after it reached their hands.
Do not wait an hour for the crates to refresh
One player suggested waiting about an hour for the post-Mendo crates to refresh, but no successful Vendetta result supports the wait. The same advice warns that the Siege instance may disappear if the party leader leaves the area.

Boundaries and evidence
Use this page only when Mendo Ren reaches his defeat animation and his carried Vendetta disappears or enters the floor. Mendo Ren failing to appear after a team wipe and a loose weapon attachment that stays visible but cannot be picked up are different problems.
The exact Vendetta weapon-drop problem is reported in Alpha 4.10.x LIVE, but the reports do not identify their client, server, service, or shard build.
RSI does not list this exact incident or an official recovery, and no public Issue Council report or inspectable gameplay demonstration was available.
Final and earlier Siege crates have produced Vendettas for current players, but no drop rate, guaranteed crate, or exact weapon variant is established.
