QV Breaker mission target marker does not appear

Tracked since 17 Sept 2026 · Last researched 17 Sept 2026

Problem

In a QV Breaker Station Investigation or Bounty Hunting mission, the body or named-target marker can stay missing after you pass a fuse door, reach Section 1 or Section 2, and keep fighting through the area. Without the marker, you may be unable to find the target and finish the contract.

The marker sometimes appears after this progression, but repeated runs in the only player discussion that matched this problem still failed at the same point. No reliable way to bring it back is currently documented.

Current conclusion

No reliable fix is confirmed

Once the body or named-target marker is still absent after you pass a fuse door and fight into Section 1 or Section 2, no verified recovery remains. Retracking failed in the only matching report, while restart advice came from a different type of marker problem and was never tested here. You can document an Alpha 4.10.1 recurrence through the Issue Council, but that will not recover the active contract.

Diagnostic checks

These checks can identify the affected state, but they are not fixes.

Report the missing QV target marker

RSI asks players to search the Issue Council and add the current game version plus reproduction evidence. This can help the issue be investigated, but it will not restore the marker or complete your active mission.

What to check

  1. Search the Issue Council for the same QV Breaker FPS target-marker incident.
  2. If an open report exists, contribute the current LIVE version and reproduction details.
  3. If no current report exists, create a new report and attach screenshots or video where possible.
Limited SupportLow riskUse these reporting steps for a recurrence on Alpha 4.10.1. No exact current-build recovery report was available when this page was checked.

What's not worth trying

Retracking did not bring the marker back

ContradictedLow risk

The only matching player report says untracking and tracking the mission again did not restore the interior body or named-target marker.

Restarting is not supported for this FPS marker

UnverifiedLow risk

The restart suggestion came from reports about missing quantum-travel markers. It was not tested on this QV Breaker interior target marker, so it is not a confirmed fallback.

Boundaries and evidence

Use this page only after you are inside the assigned QV Breaker Station and the body or named-target marker is still absent after the expected section progression. A missing quantum-travel route to the station, an NPC that never spawns, a fuse-door failure, and a Rock Breaker objective failure are different problems.

The only player discussion that matched this exact failure was posted on May 3, 2026 and does not name its game build.

No exact Alpha 4.10 or Alpha 4.10.1 player test was found for a QV Breaker body or named-target marker that stays missing after the expected interior progression.

RSI's Alpha 4.10.1 Known Issues page does not list this problem, but that page covers only some known issues. Its omission does not show that the problem is fixed.

No public Issue Council record for this exact failure was available, so its official status, affected builds, reproduction count, and fix status are unknown.

The available results come from one uncontrolled community discussion and do not provide a success rate.

The problem and the suggested recovery steps were not independently tested.
