Problem
Ship repair is stuck on Processing after a thruster is destroyed. CIG says this happens to ships with landing gear mounted directly beneath the damaged thruster.

There is no supported way to recover the ship once repair is stuck on Processing.

Character Repair is not a recovery for this ship bug
Do not run Character Repair for this repair failure. RSI says it cannot resolve ship or vehicle bugs, so it will not restore the stuck repair state. The process cannot be stopped or reversed; it moves your character to its spawn point, unequips carried items, and does not restore missing items.

CIG still lists this exact failure for Alpha 4.10.x LIVE. Its newer Known Issues notice conflicts with the Alpha 4.10.0 release note that marked STARC-215165 fixed.

Boundaries and evidence
Use this page only when repair starts but remains stuck on Processing after that exact thruster damage. A missing repair button, a repair blocked by a missing fuse, or a salvage-contract ship that cannot be repaired is a different problem.
Alpha 4.10.0 release notes say STARC-215165 was fixed, but CIG's newer September 1 Alpha 4.10.x Known Issues page lists the same failure again. CIG has not explained whether the fix was incomplete, regressed, or applies only to some cases.
CIG does not name every affected ship, the exact 4.10.x hotfix involved, how often this happens, or when another fix will ship.
No inspectable Alpha 4.10 player test confirms a successful recovery or provides a success rate.
We did not reproduce this failure or test a repair ourselves.
