ATLS IKTI Akuma: What It Does and Whether It’s Worth It
The ATLS IKTI Akuma is the more aggressive combat variant of the ATLS GEO IKTI. Its plasma repeaters hit much harder per shot, add damage across a 3 m radius, and pair with a jump pack built for horizontal distance. Those are real advantages in Alpha 4.10.1, not cosmetic differences.

It does not win every comparison. The earnable GEO IKTI fires faster, has quicker projectiles, jumps higher, and protects the operator’s torso and head more effectively. The $75 Nine Tails Shogun Pack makes sense if the Akuma’s splash damage and longer-distance mobility fit how you intend to use it—and if you value the rest of the bundle.

What changes with the Akuma
The original ATLS remains a cargo tool. Its Durus tractor beam handles containers up to 32 SCU; the Akuma drops that job entirely and has no mining or salvage role. The useful combat comparison is Akuma versus GEO IKTI. Current 4.10.1 game data lists these differences:
| Combat stat | ATLS GEO IKTI | ATLS IKTI Akuma |
|---|---|---|
| Direct alpha per repeater | 11.3 | 28 |
| Splash damage | None listed | 12 plasma within 3 m |
| Fire rate | 750 RPM | 150 RPM |
| Projectile speed | 1,500 m/s | 1,200 m/s |
| Booster fuel | 1.6 | 4.5 |
| Fuel recovery, air / ground | 0.8/s / 1.0/s | 0.3/s / 0.9/s |
| Thruster strength | 100% baseline | 68% |
| Torso / head mitigation | 30% | 15% |
| Arm / leg mitigation | 40% | 50% |
The “three times the damage” headline needs context. A CF-999 projectile deals 28 direct damage plus 12 splash damage at the impact point, for 40 combined damage versus the Bulldog’s 11.3. That is roughly 3.5 times the impact value, but the CF-999 fires at one fifth of the Bulldog’s rate.
From the listed alpha and fire rate, each Akuma repeater produces 70 direct DPS before splash, or 100 when both damage components apply at the impact point. Each GEO Bulldog produces about 141 direct DPS. The Akuma is better at high-impact area shots; the GEO is better at maintaining direct fire on one target.
The jump pack follows the same pattern. Akuma booster capacity rises from 1.6 to 4.5 units and carries the suit farther horizontally, but thrust drops to 68% of the GEO baseline and in-air recovery falls from 0.8 to 0.3 units per second. It travels farther, jumps lower, and takes longer to recover fuel while airborne.
Protection shifts toward the limbs. The Akuma mitigates 50% on the arms and legs instead of 40%, while torso and head mitigation falls from 30% to 15%. It is the more offensive suit, but it is less forgiving when incoming fire lands near the operator’s centre mass.
The weapons behave as fixed equipment in the current build, so there is no meaningful Akuma loadout section. All ATLS power-suit paints remain compatible, and the default Nine Tails livery is exclusive to the Akuma.

How to retrieve, transport, and use it
All personal hangars can spawn ground vehicles, but not every landing zone gives them a ground-level route outside. New Babbage and Lorville are the supported choices when you want to take a ground vehicle directly out of the hangar.
Retrieve the Akuma through the ground-vehicle or hangar flow available at your location. If its ASOP entry appears but the retrieve control is unavailable, check the ASOP Retrieve button workaround before filing another claim.
For field operations away from major hubs, haul the Akuma inside a carrier ship and unload it near the objective. Prioritize physical clearance—door width, ramp angle, lift size, and internal headroom—rather than relying only on nominal SCU capacity. Other ATLS variants can snap to cargo grids when the space allows, though the Akuma does not yet have an official ship-fit list.
Deployment is straightforward: enter the operator station to activate the mounted plasma weapons and jump pack. Battery endurance, recharge cycles, and dedicated keybinds are still sparsely documented.
If the suit is destroyed, lost, or abandoned, file a vehicle claim at an ASOP terminal. Lifetime Insurance covers pledge replacement; it does not remove standard aUEC claim or repair fees.
Handheld FPS weapons remain the simpler option for interiors and short operations where retrieving and transporting the Akuma would take longer than using normal gear. The suit earns its transport overhead when its splash coverage and jump mobility matter.
What the Nine Tails Shogun Pack includes
As of Alpha 4.10.1, the $75 USD Nine Tails Shogun Pack is the only confirmed way to obtain the Akuma. The limited-time offer is Warbond and listed before VAT or other regional taxes.
The pack includes:
- ATLS IKTI Akuma with Lifetime Insurance.
- Cutlass Akuma paint.
- P8-AR Akuma rifle, A03 Akuma sniper rifle, and LH86 Akuma pistol.
- Shogun Kiba Akuma helmet, Artimex Akuma core/arms/legs, and Geist Stronghold backpack.
Standalone pledge options, store-credit purchases, in-game rentals, aUEC sales, and Wikelo exchanges remain unverified. This snapshot captures the Akuma’s launch exclusivity; additional acquisition routes could appear later.
The GEO IKTI remains the in-game alternative, although its Wikelo exchange has had completion problems. That makes the Akuma pack the direct launch option for players who prioritize permanent pledge access.

Is the ATLS IKTI Akuma worth it?
The Akuma is easiest to justify as a collector’s bundle. Buy the $75 pack if you want permanent pledge ownership of a combat power suit, already own a practical carrier ship, and genuinely value the included Nine Tails armor, weapons, backpack, and Cutlass paint. Its 3 m splash radius, higher impact damage, and larger booster reserve are real advantages, but the pack’s overall value still depends heavily on the extras rather than an overwhelming combat lead.
Pass on the Akuma if you need a utility suit for cargo handling, mining, or salvage. It is also a tough sell if you only care about the suit itself, or if you expect it to massively outperform the earnable GEO IKTI or standard FPS loadouts. At its core, the Akuma remains a cosmetic and bundle-driven purchase rather than a necessary upgrade for combat efficiency.
