Workaround
Rental ship is missing from ASOP after the rental completes
Tracked since 16 Aug 2026 · Last researched 15 Aug 2026
Problem
This incident applies when a rental appears to complete or the player reports being charged, but the expected rented ship does not appear in ASOP or Fleet Manager. Reports include both free or event rentals and paid rentals, sometimes across more than one expected terminal or location.
The same visible result can come from different states. One report found a rental at a hallway terminal but not a personal-hangar terminal, while other reports found no rental across locations. That makes terminal scope and transaction state important before treating the problem as one account or backend failure.

Fallback only
Restart the router, then flush DNS once
Restart the router, then flush DNS once. CIG says this has shown some success, but community outcomes are mixed, so treat it as a low-risk attempt rather than an established fix.
It is the only action explicitly named by the current official Known Issues entry, which reports some success. Community reports provide mixed outcome support rather than a guarantee.
What to do
- Exit the game and launcher state as appropriate for your normal network restart procedure.
- Restart the router.
- Flush the local DNS cache.
- Reconnect and check the expected ASOP listing once.
This does not prove or repair the rental transaction, entitlement, or backend state. If the rental remains absent, do not assume repeating the same rental will solve it.
Boundaries and evidence
This article does not cover an expired or incomplete rental, a ship that is already listed but fails during retrieval, a destroyed or claimable ship, a broader missing-ship or purchased-pledged entitlement issue, or a temporary terminal filter hiding a ship. Those incidents need different evidence and different next steps.
The current boundary is Alpha 4.9 LIVE. The exact hotfix is not established, so this article uses the release family rather than inventing a build number.
Other options
Toggle Show Hints off and on, then wait briefly or relog once
Commenters associate the action with a stuck notification state, but the available reports do not provide a controlled demonstration or a reliable success outcome.
Steps
- Turn Show Hints off in settings.
- Return to the game, then turn Show Hints back on.
- Wait briefly or relog once, then check ASOP.
Do not treat the hint state as an established cause of missing rentals.
Check a hallway or lobby ASOP terminal
One first-hand report found the rental at a hallway terminal but not a personal-hangar terminal. Other reports found nothing across locations, so this is a visibility-scope check rather than a general repair.
Steps
- Check a public hallway or lobby ASOP terminal.
- If relevant, check the location where the rental was created.
- If the rental appears only there, treat the result as a terminal-scope distinction.
The evidence does not establish which terminal types should show every rental.
Wait for possible backend or entitlement synchronization
One report says the issue resolved after several days, but other reports remained broken after waiting. The source does not show that waiting caused the recovery.
Steps
- Do not buy or re-rent another ship solely as a test.
- Recheck the relevant ASOP listing later.
No reliable delay window exists, and the rental may expire while you wait.
What not to try
Repeatedly re-rent the same or another ship
Reports describe repeated rentals without a listing; another paid attempt spends credits without proving the original transaction was repaired. Additional rental credits and rental duration may be lost.
Server hopping, region hopping, or ordinary relogging as a presumed fix
Matched reports record no change after restart, server or region changes, and waiting. A delayed resolution elsewhere does not establish that hopping caused it.
Character repair
A report includes character repair among unsuccessful attempts; no inspected outcome supports it for rental listing absence. The available evidence does not establish the account, inventory, or progression effects of using it here.
Purchase a ship or vehicle to force the rental entry to appear
A community commenter claims this fixed an account, but the outcome is not independently controlled and the action spends substantial additional credits or assets. You may spend money or aUEC without repairing the rental entitlement.
