Rental ship is missing from ASOP after the rental completes

Problem
Use this page when a paid or event rental completed, or your aUEC was charged, but the rented ship is missing from public ASOP terminals and Fleet Manager.
CIG still lists this as an ongoing Alpha 4.10 issue. The Alpha 4.10 release notes also say the underlying ticket was fixed, so the current scope of the problem is unclear.

Restart the router, then flush DNS once
Restart the router and flush the local DNS cache once, then check ASOP again. CIG says this has helped some players, but results are mixed and no Alpha 4.10 success rate is available.
This is the only step CIG currently recommends for this exact missing-rental problem. It is a low-risk attempt, not a dependable fix.
What to do
- Restart the router.
- Flush the local DNS cache.
- Reconnect and check ASOP once.
Everyone using that router will briefly lose their connection. This refresh does not confirm or repair the rental transaction itself.
Other options
Toggle Show Hints once
Some players said this cleared the missing rental, while another player with the same problem said it did nothing. Try it only as a quick, unverified fallback.
Steps
- Turn Show Hints off in settings.
- Return to the game, then turn Show Hints back on.
- Wait briefly or relog once, then check ASOP.
This changes only a UI preference. There is no proof that a stuck hint caused the missing rental.
Recheck later without spending more credits
One player saw the rental return after several days, but another was still blocked after two days. Waiting may coincide with a backend refresh, but it is not a proven fix.
Steps
- Do not spend more credits solely to test the listing.
- Recheck the relevant ASOP later.
There is no reliable waiting period, and a paid rental can expire while it remains unavailable.
What's not worth trying
Do not keep renting ships to force an update
Repeated rentals have consumed hundreds of thousands of aUEC without showing that the missing entry was repaired. You can lose more credits and rental time for another invisible ship.
Do not repeat server or region hopping
Players with the same missing-rental problem remained blocked after changing servers or regions and relogging. Repeating those retries only costs more time.
Do not use Character Repair for this rental
Character Repair failed in a report matching this problem, and CIG does not recommend it for missing rentals. It is too disruptive to use as a speculative fix.
Do not buy another ship to refresh ASOP
A few players in one older thread said a ship or vehicle purchase made rentals appear, but that result was not controlled or confirmed for Alpha 4.10. The cost is too high for a speculative refresh.
Boundaries and evidence
First check a public hallway or lobby ASOP, not only the terminal inside your personal hangar. If the rental appears there, you have a terminal-visibility problem instead. This page also does not cover an expired or incomplete rental, a purchased or pledged ship that is missing, or a ship that appears in ASOP but cannot be retrieved.
No independent player result was found for this exact problem in Alpha 4.10.
CIG does not publish how often the router and DNS step works, which accounts are affected, or how long a delayed recovery might take.
The public Issue Council page does not expose enough detail to explain why Alpha 4.10 both marks the ticket fixed and still lists the problem as ongoing.
A ship that appears in ASOP but cannot be retrieved is a separate ship retrieval failure incident.
