Personal hangar cargo elevator not working

Problem
A personal or home hangar cargo elevator does not bring stored cargo up. The cargo may appear invisible, or the kiosk may close when you recall the elevator.
This is not the mission-cargo bug where cargo is missing at pickup. Here, your stored cargo exists but the hangar elevator will not bring it up.

Choose the matching route
There is no single fix for every stuck personal cargo elevator. If you can get a larger temporary hangar, use its elevator. Otherwise, use another elevator only when your stored cargo is visible there.
If a larger temporary hangar can be obtained by accessing a larger ship or another location.
Use a larger temporary hangar when one is available
A larger temporary hangar can provide a fresh cargo elevator while the original personal-hangar elevator remains stuck.
What to do
- Use a larger ship, or go to another location, to get a larger temporary hangar.
- Open the fresh cargo elevator and make sure your stored cargo is visible before moving anything.
- Move only the cargo you can see, and stop if the inventory grid behaves unexpectedly.
Getting one may require a larger ship or rental and extra travel; it does not repair the original elevator.
If an external freight elevator or another accessible hangar can reach the stored cargo.
Use an external or another hangar elevator
This gives you another route to cargo that is already visible through that elevator.
What to do
- Go to an accessible external freight elevator or another hangar.
- Make sure the cargo is visible in the inventory before transferring anything.
- Transfer a small, non-critical amount first. Stop if the grid removes or misplaces cargo.
Inventory-grid and cargo errors have also occurred, so stop if the cargo is not clearly visible or the interface behaves unexpectedly.
