Dropped weapon attachment cannot be picked up

After you drop a weapon attachment on the floor or ground, it can stay visible but lose every interaction. You cannot pick it up again, so it is effectively lost at that location.

RSI still lists this problem for Alpha 4.10.x. There is no supported recovery after the drop; its only guidance is to keep weapon attachments in inventory and avoid dropping them.

Use this page only for a loose weapon attachment that became non-interactive after you dropped it into the world. A whole weapon that cannot be carried, an attachment that will not fit a weapon slot, and items that vanish during an armor swap are different problems.

RSI does not name the exact affected 4.10.x hotfix, which attachment types are affected, how often this happens, or when it will be fixed.

No current player test was found that recovers an attachment already lost this way by interacting with it, using a tractor beam, relogging, changing servers, or moving it through inventory.

One earlier player report describes a dropped weapon that could not be carried or re-equipped, but it is not an exact Alpha 4.10.x weapon-attachment test.

The exact Issue Council report and detailed Spectrum history were not publicly available, and no usable demonstration was found on YouTube, Facebook, Discord, or Twitch.

We did not reproduce the problem or test a recovery ourselves.
