Docked ships can disappear after a carrier bed logout

Problem
A fighter or other small ship docked inside an Idris, Polaris, or Tyilui can disappear when you return after using a bed on the carrier to log out.
CIG still lists this as an Alpha 4.10.x issue and says there is no workaround. There is no supported recovery step for a docked ship that has already despawned.

No reliable fix is confirmed
There is no reliable fix in Alpha 4.10.x. CIG names the Idris, Polaris, and Tyilui as affected carriers and provides no recovery step. Old Polaris positioning reports are too narrow and inconsistent to trust with a ship you cannot afford to lose.
What not to try
Do not rely on old Polaris placement tricks
One Alpha 4.0-era player kept a Vulture for a week and an F8C for one day with this setup. That single old result has not been repeated in Alpha 4.10, on an Idris, or on a Tyilui, so it is not a dependable fix.
Boundaries and evidence
Use this page only when the docked craft disappears after a bed logout on the carrier. A carrier that is missing or needs to be claimed, a missing ship marker, a disabled bed-logout option, a named login error, an endless loading screen, or a craft lost during quantum travel or carrier storage is a different problem.
CIG does not identify the exact Alpha 4.10.x hotfix that introduced or still carries the problem, how often it occurs, or when it will be fixed.
No current player result shows a prevention or recovery step working for this exact incident on an Idris, Polaris, or Tyilui.
The only detailed placement result is from one Polaris player in the Alpha 4.0 era. Other old Polaris reports describe inconsistent losses and persistence.
The public Issue Council history and reports limited to Spectrum, private communities, videos, or streams were not available in enough detail to verify another route.
We did not reproduce the despawn or test a recovery ourselves.
